Life can be a whale
This will be a short newsletter today, if that's OK by you.
Holy Moly it's been a bustling last few weeks with the closure of BNP my move to Compass.
I underestimated.
Need I write any more than those two words? (LOL)
And as part of that, here I am up against my normal newsletter deadline and with less than an hour to compose something.
So I'm going to share two quick things that I hope you'll enjoy.
Let's skip the "table of contents" and get right to them.
First: THANK YOUUUU!!!!!
When I wrote two weeks ago that BNP was closing, that all the BNP team members and I would be continuing our careers at new real estate firms around town, I had no idea how that message would land.
I certainly did not expect the outpouring of support and replies that I was blessed to receive.
Over a hundred emails, text messages, and phone calls from newsletter readers, every one of them filling my heart.
I had no idea how many of you have owned and run businesses in the past, and have also experienced the reality of having to "set it down."
I was deeply touched by messages that expressed "feeling seen" for having navigated the same wearing of 10 hats or daily waking up in mental 5th gear, but hadn't found the words to share it or people who "got it."
And throughout the messages, I was touched, and grateful, for the words of gratitude that 100% of BNP's former team members have all set themselves up to continue delivering 5-star service to the PNW market.
Getting to be a real estate broker in this area, making a good living at it, is a privilege and a joy.
A million thanks, and much love, for your continued support of every team member who made up the BNP roster, and who now continue in a new chapter.
Life can be a Whale
I have so, so many fun, interesting, and helpful topics I plan to write about in the 2024 batch of upcoming newsletters.
Today, though, I wanted to breifly share a collaborative project starting with me, and just completed by my dear friend and artist Patti Missler.
One of my new favorite things (ever) is to hand a carving off to another artist, and let them enhance it with their own creativity.
I carved and sanded this humpback whale a few weekends ago...
Then I dropped it off at Patti's house in Fairhaven, knowing she would infuse a soul to it that would bring it to life.
A few days ago, she called and invited me over to see what she had created.
As happens often with these things, I was blown away.
Patti, you're amazing, and it's an honor to have played a part in this fun project with you.
I have at least two collaborations planned in the near future, including making a "Mama whale" to go with this smaller one, also with Patti.
When they're done, we will choose an auction fundraiser to donate them to.
And local artist Kevin Coleman and I are already planning a collaboration for this fall's Sea Feast festival, of which Kevin is program director.
Kevin is who I collaborated with recently on the sea turtle project.
Rest assured it won't be all chainsaw carvings and family adventures in the emails ahead.
There will be plenty of real estate and Pacific NW lifestyle content too!
For today, though, please accept my most humble THANK YOU again, for your continued support.
I wish you all the best, and I'll see you in two weeks!
Brandon
