As the most populous neighborhood in Bellingham, Roosevelt is diverse in housing style and land use. For schooling, the typical track goes Roosevelt Elementary to Shuksan Middle to Squalicum High. While the neighborhood is walkable, most errands need a car or public transportation. The public bus line runs right down Alabama street and takes residents throughout the city.
